I'm not sure that the fact that Osama made so much more noise than Holocaust Day has much more to do with the fact that Osama is news--an incredibly significant, and symbolic piece of news--whereas the Holocaust is not news. It's a tragic story that we know, and is fortunately behind us, even if we must dilligently revisit its lessons all the time. Maybe the two "events" are apples and oranges, and if so perhaps twitter isn't the best measurement of their impact and resonance.
